A band with a difference

We are one of the most entertaining live covers bands in CT, and winners of Best Local Rock Band - New Canaan in the Best of the Gold Coast Awards 2016. In 2017 we scooped the awards for both Best Rock Band and Best Covers Band. We recently won the prestigious Gates Restaurant Battle of the Bands competition in February 2019.

We play good old-fashioned Rock 'n Roll - from AC/DC to ZZ Top. We love the classics - Beatles, Bowie, The Who, T-Rex, Pink Floyd, and many more from the 60's to the present day. From Radiohead to Prince, The Beastie Boys to U2 - if it rocks - we play it.

But we also play as a 'Rockaoke' Band. We allow you and your guests to unleash your inner rock star, come up on stage and sing with a live band. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on! Check out our promo video made by up-and-coming Hollywood Producer Bobby Baldanza at our amazing December 2016 show at Gates Restaurant:

We play bars, restaurants, parties, corporate events - indoor or outdoor - Contact us and let us make your party come alive!

In 2016 we were thrilled and honored to play with two rock legends - Mike Peters of The Alarm, and Ken Stringfellow of The Posies / R.E.M. / Big Star. Scroll down to see the videos and read more about these amazing collaborations

Mind the Gap - Top band - The Future of Rock n’ Roll!
— Mike Peters - Legendary Lead Singer of The Alarm
Mind the Gap hit all the modern classics with spirit and aplomb...a great sing-a-long source for any occasion! Great dudes as well.
— Ken Stringfellow - Multi-talented member of The Posies / R.E.M. and Big Star
Great music performed by talented musicians and also really great guys. They have a unique ability to engage the audience and make sure everyone has a blast!
— Rich Riley - CEO, Shazam

(Mind the Gap performed at the premiere launch party for the Fox TV game show Beat Shazam, starring Jamie Foxx)

I thought ‘Rockaoke’ was a Japanese pro-golfer until I saw Mind the Gap turn a Christmas Party into a wildly fun event. Along the way they somehow released an inner rocker that I didn’t know existed until I found that microphone in my hand with ‘You Really Got Me’....Great stuff!
— David Tait OBE - Executive Vice President, Virgin Atlantic Airways 1983 - 2002
Mind the Gap rocked our party. There’s nothing like having the chance to sing with a live band
— Simon Bradley - Senior Vice President of Marketing at Madison Square Garden
Is there anything better than rocking to four lads belting out covers of our favorite songs?
That’s the Mind The Gap experience. Best thing short of being at the Cavern Club back in the day!!
— Rob Mallozzi III - First Selectman - New Canaan
